The logo spells 女妖 (nǚyāo) in Chinese seal script, loosely meaning ‘female demon’ or ‘monstress.’ It is where my artist name and my heritage meet, expressed through one of the oldest visual forms of Chinese writing!

I work primarily as a digital illustrator, though I still enjoy making traditional pieces from time to time. When I work traditionally, I usually gravitate towards Chinese ink wash and mixed media, especially gouache, watercolor, acrylic and gel pens.
